the great chain of life

“Expeditions like these teach us why we need to increase our efforts to restore and better understand marine ecosystems everywhere — because the great chain of life that begins in the ocean is critical for human health and well being. Check out just a small portion of some of the amazing encounters that were experienced via Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) SuBastian during the expedition.”  (Thank you for sharing Christie!)

  1. So many beautiful and fascinating creatures live in the deep waters.
Why, oh why do they have to use the most aggravating music for these things? 😉

  5. The most amazing 4+min of today’s early morning…. I now better understand my brother’s love for diving hols. All those tiny, minuscule creatures, that was heart-stoppingly wonderful. (Had to turn the music off though, I often must).
Thanks, also to Christie, for sharing this treasure.

  6. It amazing how little we know about the sea and especially the deep sea – even more so as we live for more than 40 years at the coast. Actually quite shocking.
