…sit on your eggs for 35 to 36 days. Believe we are on Day 2 or 3. (As to Mother Goose, she’s still workin’ it.) DK Photos taken @ Weed Avenue / Cove Island Park, Stamford, CT during the mornings of April 26 & April 27th, 2021. (Related Swan posts: Swan1)

Aww so pretty! 😍😍
She is!
Each on nature’s timeline
sure is!
Clearly, there’s a major ‘awww babies’ in my future..
Clearly! (Let’s hope so!) I don’t see her mate anywhere to cover when she needs a break.
looking forward to a happy beginning in about 30 days…
Me too Jim.
What a divine photo — probably not a divine location though!
And on that note… it struck me that one of the beautiful things about your photos (and there are many) is the silence every image evokes simply because the highway/ambient noise is not a visible/audible component of each one.
Sort of like life — when we pause and sink down into the silence within, we eliminate all the noise and clatter outside. In that place of sanctuary, we really do fall with grace into that place of 4 natural sanctuaries.
Beautiful Louise. Thank you.
What a lovely tableau, pal. And I love what Louise said. Your photos really are a welcome respite…
Thank you Lori.

The ‘nesting’ process!! … “(As to Mother Goose, she’s still workin’ it.) DK Photos taken @ Weed Avenue / Cove Island Park, Stamford, CT during the mornings of April 26 & April 27th, 2021.”
These urban birds have adjusted well.
Apparently so!
There is such resilience and commitment in nature. It teaches me so much 🙏🏻
Resilience. That’s it Karen. Yes.
First off – how cool that Mother Goose is within view of your camera and thus, within our view. Louise said it. Your photos truly do bring such a lovely sense of peace, David. I love this and know you will keep us posted on this.
Thank you Dale. Means a lot to me.
You mean a lot to us.
Thanks for this capture and the goose update!
My pleasure!
Wow! How exquisitely gorgeous! How did you ever find her if so near the highway? Yes, thank you for bringing us into this world. And, yes, you bring us silence and serenity even if a road coexists with all of these mothers.
I went to check in on her this morning, and she picked up and waddled into the water. No eggs!
Wondering if she stopped the process because it did not feel safe enough…
Now that’s a good point.
As to how did I find her, I happened to be driving by and saw her head peek up!
Swan Lake! 😁
With a Goose!
