I have been here before,
But when or how I cannot tell:
I know the grass beyond the door,
The sweet keen smell,
The sighing sound…

The trees outside my window are shrouded in hoar frost this morning. Mist rises above the river in ghostly white puffs of nothingness that drift effortlessly along its ice-filled surface.
And I sit at my desk, watching the river, sipping on beauty. Your photo…Rossetti’s poetry. I breathe deeply and sink into the wonder of it all.
Yummy.

Such a beautiful multi layered photograph needs no words to improve upon it. Although any words by Rossetti are a gift in themselves. The photo makes me wish I could be there…as do so many of your works of art. Thank you!

I just thought: But this can’t be – I thought you had used one of MY photos of the last days! I’m a 15′ walk from our lake (that’s the way down, up it’s more like 25′) and I took tons of similar pics. I felt that serendipity, that peace, the quiet, disturbed only by the waterhens and playing dogs who didn’t know that the water was freezing cold (if not frozen) and chased each other anyway….
And then the words! You can’t possibly get any more poetic than with this poem – a wonderful ‘Adieu’ for me, a good bye from this long and quite stressful but good day – it’s time for my short beauty sleep!
