Watch it.

And wow for Anya Taylor-Joy as Beth Harmon, a young competitive chess player who is determined to become a Grandmaster.

  2. I didn’t like her in the last version of Austen’s Emma, but she is a great Beth Harmon.

  4. The trailer is amazing – the theme is one I often read about and which again and again proves to me that too much ‘being competitive’ can only lead to unhappiness.
Sometimes I regret not having TV, but then I think that in any case, I’d rather make music, or read, or have fun and discussions with friends. And that’s fine by me. But this is certainly one of the flicks I’d watch.

  11. Judging just from the trailer, I’m glad I’m not a genius if it comes with all those head problems. Looks like a very interesting movie though.
