“The moon blots out the sun during a total solar eclipse over Longyearbyen on the Norwegian archipelago of Svalbard in the Arctic Ocean on Friday. The total eclipse was only visible on Svalbard and the Faeroe Islands.”

  1. So wonderful that a spectacular event, such as this, can be captured and shared. So clear & pure. For a short time, this eclipse event to me, looked like a watchful eye. A vivid reminder that we learn by looking up at the majestic brilliance and in looking around us, we see in a typical 24 hour period the gift of both heavenly bodies, independently, illuminating light, revealing of Wonder. We just have to remember to keep looking.

  2. We ‘only’ had a partial eclipse but it’s still pretty amazing. I was lucky enough to experience the total eclipse in 1999 – an experience I will never forget.
