Rodrigo y Gabriela are a Mexican guitar duo (Rodrigo Sanchez and Gabriela Quintero) whose music spans a number of genres including nuevo flamenco, rock, and heavy metal. The duo’s discography consists largely of unaccompanied duets on the classical guitar. The musicians gained a reputation by playing on the streets of Dublin, Ireland and gained a cult following. They regularly dismiss being classified in a particular genre of music, preferring to say they play a fusion of many influences.

Very talented duo.

I like these guys more each time I see/hear them perform. Great way to start the day, and end it too.
Hi Tim. First time I heard them. And it was a “Wow” for me. Have a good day.
One word, wow!

Absolutely awesome!! WOW!
They are a WOW!
Woke up to this, got my day going. I love the guitar–it’s such a versatile and sexy instrument. Happy Friday!
Me too Carol. Love the guitar. And these two, maestros.
Wonderful!! 🙂
It is B*, thanks.
I love these two; found them a good few years ago. I heard an interview in which they described their experience of living in Dublin and not understanding about how cold (compared to Mexico) it gets in Ireland in the winter. Very funny.
Haven’t heard much of their recent stuff though so it was great to see this video. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Sarah. I amazed to see how many follow them. And can’t believe I’ve never heard of them. I’ve played them on a loop for 24 hours.
😀
They are brilliant musicians. I just discovered them a year or so ago on Austin City Limits.
They are Ivon. I’m so glad I tripped into them. I need to start following Austin City Limits.
They do have some great acts and have diversified so much over the last few years with Mumford and Sons, Coldplay, and other non-country acts.
fantastico !
