Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Bundle up!
That’s the call to action. Right there.
I am sorry for the pain involved, but I LOVED this post. By the way, there was a point in my life where I seriously considered using that Dorothy Parker quote as the message on my phone answering machine.
Funny. I love the Parker quote!
I’m right there with ya, David. Front door was frozen shut this morning and garage door wouldn’t go up more than halfway. Put my key in the ignition and the starter came out real brave. Thuk…nah… Just an ordinary winter day in the northeast… 🙂 – J.
Another ordinary winter day in the northeast….hmmmmm, I’d argue that it’s a few wee clicks lower on the thermometer, but who’s quibbling. Have a good week Jeff.
I always though hell was supposed to be toasty…It is SO flippin’ cold.
Laughing. There is a point in that…
-11 in Pittsburgh – coming your way !
wind chill -27.
last year in cold – TX here I come.
Ouch, that’s cold. Is there room on the Reiff bus to TX?
hahahahahhahahaha – absolutely.
Yep!
Broke record at 5am at minus 12 so far. Get that dog inside!
Wow – 12. Nasty. Yes, keep the animals indoors today.
Got Coffee???
Stay Warm!!!
Take Care and God Bless 🙂 Kenny T
That’s the marching orders Kenny, thanks.
I hate to be cold (even from air conditioning!)
Oh, here we go again, the Floridian’s complaining about their air conditioning. Boo Hoo.
WAH! 🙂
Good one!
He is warmer than we are. With the wind chill its 30 degrees below zero here this morning.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
30 degrees below. Wow. Nasty.
I am sorry to say that this hell is just fresh for you. This hell is drunk and has been staggering all over the country for over a week. Ask me about my frozen pipes. Wait, don’t! I am sick of it all!
OMG, frozen pipes. I feel terrible. So sorry.
that would be lovely weather compared to what we are getting here
And like a good Canadian, you grin and bear it without complaint.
Popsicles here as well. Our temps dropped from a high of 53 yesterday afternoon to 12 last night. Gulp. I don’t mind snow, but these frigid temps could depart without so much as a murmur of protest from yours truly. Brrr….
No protest here either Lori…none at all.

Has hell froze over? 🙂
It has!
Okay, I’m going to stop complaining about our wind and rain now.
Embrace it fully!
Brrr…Freezing here too.
I bet, it’s always freezing in Chicago this time of the year.
Yes. But – these past couple of days have been ridiculously cold. We were colder than Siberia!
Colder than the Planet Mars too, I hear! Terrible.
Yes – Terrible – eh?
Exactly.
Well, with that sort of refrigeration,”very fresh” I would think. And to rub salt into our wounds (same conditions here in Bethesda) it is prime beach time back home … sigh.
Awwwww, when do I get to New Zealand? When?
Date: 1/7/14. Time: 8:05pm. Radiatingblossom has figured it out. There is hope.
Yep…no comment on your next post either. 🙂
1/7/14. 8:08PM. Habit appears to be on road to being broken. Those that don’t believe in miracles, haven’t seen RadiatingBlossom…
🙂
I had to look up the quote cuz I *need* it in my lexicon.
The thing about the cold snap is that it pulls us all together (not just for warmth). Disasters and Fringe Events can do that.
They do. And the quote/quip, is classic.
minus 13…. Oh my God…. I can’t imagine… In here, it is warm and we are all ill because of this unseasonable weather… We need snow we need cold winter days…. But sure we haven’t experienced this kind of temparature in the past, I mean minus 13…. at least minus 1 or 4…. 🙂
Your are blessed!
