Which one are you?

Hmmmm. If, like, a friend has multiple social personalities — like say a Dash. An Exclamation Mark. A Question Mark. Do they merge to create goodness?

  1. my trifecta – the semi-colon, the ellipsis, and the colon. oh, and an occasional dash when i get too excited to wait patiently with my idea. so…

      1. well then, lori and i are both known as ‘connectors’ in other human terms. just chalk up my tangent-veering and interrupting, to my joy of the moment.

      1. Ah…I’m sorry – I got it now..and they do merge to create goodness. They also merge at times to create not-so-goodness. But I think that is a product of our humanity, you know?

    1. I can so see you with the “,” and the “;” – have trouble seeing you with the “-“. And glad to here that you too feel it all leads to goodness! 🙂

  2. Also, coincidentally, I subscribe to the Greater Good Science Center and get their e-newsletters regularly. They put out some great stuff.

      1. A … moment? No, really, none, I meant that comment to be associated with the “We can be better at giving thanks” post. Sybil got confused 🙂

  3. Extremely interesting post … For me it would be the ellipses followed by the semicolon and finished with a question mark, and probably in that order as well ….

  4. It drives me crazy when people tell a story ending every sentence in a question. “There was this man???? He was on his way to work????? And there was this guy with a dog????”
I know that wasn’t the point of your post, David, but it was the first thing I thought of. I think the above example is of insecure people and I shouldn’t make fun of them but it drives me crazy??????
