Hmmmm. If, like, a friend has multiple social personalities — like say a Dash. An Exclamation Mark. A Question Mark. Do they merge to create goodness?

Cool! This just made my day! 😀
An Exclamation Mark, huh Meikah?! 🙂
Hm, my one is missing – it should be !!! 😉
Funny!
I’m a ; … : with a dash of ” ” for good measure. 🙂
Love this chart. I’m learning yet more about my friends.
my trifecta – the semi-colon, the ellipsis, and the colon. oh, and an occasional dash when i get too excited to wait patiently with my idea. so…
And learning yet more. You are Lori, immediately above you are virtually identical sans the ellipsis
well then, lori and i are both known as ‘connectors’ in other human terms. just chalk up my tangent-veering and interrupting, to my joy of the moment.
Hmm..this was hard – a question mark and three dots, I think.
I had you on ? but less so on … I think.
What are you Dave?
It was fully disclosed up top after “Hmmmm (I have a friend…?!) Apparently this wasn’t obvious.
Ah…I’m sorry – I got it now..and they do merge to create goodness. They also merge at times to create not-so-goodness. But I think that is a product of our humanity, you know?
Yes. But for today, let’s go with the former, they create goodness. 🙂
I’m with you.
I am …
……me too! – I think
Definitely, you are a …
I think I am a ; with a pinch of . 🙂
A fine, distinguished combination.
My , drives my kids crazy. My – drives my husband crazy. But friends seem to love my ;
I am with you, Dave. All three lead to goodness 🙂
I can so see you with the “,” and the “;” – have trouble seeing you with the “-“. And glad to here that you too feel it all leads to goodness! 🙂
do you have to be just one? 🙂
No, but you might need to be nicknamed Sybil (ala Carolann below)
Question mark, exclamation point and colon here!
Interesting combo with the addition of colon.
A . a – (too much so) an !, an ; and a :. Sometimes a “”. I am Sybil!! 🙂
NOW THAT’S FUNNY Sybil!
Also, coincidentally, I subscribe to the Greater Good Science Center and get their e-newsletters regularly. They put out some great stuff.
Sorry, Carolann. I”m lost. What’s the connection between the image above and the Greater Good Science Center?
A … moment? No, really, none, I meant that comment to be associated with the “We can be better at giving thanks” post. Sybil got confused 🙂
Extremely interesting post … For me it would be the ellipses followed by the semicolon and finished with a question mark, and probably in that order as well ….
Eclectic mix!
He he he… mine is … often trails off on a tangent….Thank you dear David, love, nia
Soft kind hearted soul that you arm….gently fading off.
Question everything ????
Smiling. I can see this.
It drives me crazy when people tell a story ending every sentence in a question. “There was this man???? He was on his way to work????? And there was this guy with a dog????”
I know that wasn’t the point of your post, David, but it was the first thing I thought of. I think the above example is of insecure people and I shouldn’t make fun of them but it drives me crazy??????
LAUGHING! Where did you see a symbol above that has one finishing each sentence with a question? Or did you just make this up? LAUGHING
Maybe we should add another personality to the punctuation crowd. The insecure, questioning storyteller.
I’m definitely a trailer… never wanting things to end, I guess. Let’s just keep the merging goodness…going. 🙂
Laughing. And still laughing.
I’ve become a … Luckily, my husband is now able to finish my sentences for me.
Hmmmm, I had you pegged a different way. Interesting…
something like , ; …
Sometimes I’d like to be more ! 😉
Warm hearted soul that you are Kim!
A mix of this & that!
Sounds like a cop out RoSy, come on!
…
OK. Better. I can see that! 🙂
😉
sadly I’m a dash …
But, Sheri, I’m sure you do it with such grace!
Geez I hope so … But probably not 😣
🙂
I ‘d say…. Likes to introduce groups of people, interrupts others with own thoughts and kinda pulls you away from the conversation! 🙂 YAY!
Your personna lines up squarely with that Ioanna!
Ellipsomaniac. No doubt about that one.
Really? I had to also pegged with a “?”
I’m a ;.?
Oh, I get that you are a “?” 🙂
