And on the 9th day…

My Brother Rich shared this video with me. It’s been viewed more than 2,300,000 times since it was posted. My hunch is all you dog lovers have seen this 2-minute clip at least once.  It was new to me.

Dogs. The deep baritone Paul Harvey-like voice with a rhythmic cadence. And you have another winner.

This clip is a take-off on the highly acclaimed Superbowl Ram Truck commercial on Farmers.  If you missed it, you need to check it out at this link: And the winner is…

  1. So beautiful and so lovely… I love DOGS too and I wish to have one of them if my Princess doesn’t mind… 🙂 Thank you dear David, have a nice new week/month and day, love, nia

  2. What a beautiful summary of all the reasons we love our canine companions. I watched (actually felt) my 70-lb “youngster” shoehorn himself under our bed this morning like he used to do when he was a puppy–he worked and worked til only his head was sticking out, then started wagging his tail because he was so pleased with himself…..it was like being in one of those cheap hotel beds where ya insert a quarter (no comments from the peanut gallery). Kicked off my day with a mad set of the giggles. Ya gotta love these animals…. 🙂

  3. I cried the last time I watched this and again today, too. Side note: we went out for supper Friday night and, when we got home, we were greeted by the 5 1/2 year old next door + her best friend. She tells her friend, in the way kids do, “This is Marilyn. She had a dog, he died, and now she shares my dog.” And it’s true. Her dog, Pasche, a big blond Lab-mix that gets hair everywhere, lumbers over at least once a day and loves on us. It’s like he knows. It’s obvious she does.

    🙂 MJ

  4. David, this is one of the most adorable videos I ever seen .. and I just love his voice – watched it two time, because of his voice and the words. Miss my dog now. *smile Thanks for sharing it.

  5. As with so much that is attributed to God or gods, people made dogs. Because people need dogs, period. However, there is an ancient Native America creation myth wherein God arrives on the scene to start his work of creation, accompanied by his dog….
