Open a book this minute and start reading.
Don’t move until you’ve reached page fifty.
Until you’ve buried your thoughts in print.
Cover yourself with words.
Wash yourself away.

Cute photo 🙂
I need to be on that same beach!

Reblogged this on On the Homefront and commented:
I will do whatever David and Carol tell me to do—-when it comes to reading….
Thanks for sharing LouAnn
Probably not today…but fantasizing about it…vacation time is coming soon!
Every day is the right day for reading. Come on Vicki
A perfect day for reading…
It is that Peggy…have a good weekend.
That’s okay, if you pick up the right book. Some I’ve dumped after a few pages, usually because the characters are two-dimensional, there are too many of them introduced too quickly, and there’s too much exposition. I’ve just finished a novel that I loved and am still submerged in it, even though I finished it days ago. It was so moving and so beautifully written. Try “My Sister’s Keeper” by Jodi Picoult, though it might make you weep in places.
Based on your characterization, you and I are aligned on book profiles. And I love Jodi Picoult and My Sister’s Keeper. I’m with you. Beautifully written.
Great plan! I’ll join you…. 🙂
It is a good plan, right!?!
Excellent! 🙂
Mission: Successful 🙂
🙂 It’s getting crowded on this beach!
Sounds like a plan…..rainy day here, perfect for reading!
It is….
I love to read ~ thanks for the order! Mission accomplished! 🙂
Good!
Rainy here, too. I’m grabbing my book (not Kindle). Enjoy!
Rainy in Florida in August. Least it cuts down the humidity…
Hopefully catching up on blogs I enjoy reading will suffice for this morning. I am so glad when anyone reminds us to read though. Thank you David!
I hope she’s reading one of mine! 🙂
Funny! Not self serving at all!
Hahaha. I had to throw that one in. Couldn’t resist.
I keep a good book on the tray of my stationary bike, it makes it so much easier to go and ride for a half hour. To me reading is a treat!
I’ve thought if it Tina, never have been able to execute.
Try it David, it is pretty amazing, just this weekend I have increased my time on my stationary bike by 15 minutes a session by having a great book to read. Another good idea is using your iPad to watch Ted talks while riding. Two good talks is about 40 minutes!
Don’t have a stationary bike Tina but the idea of Ted talks is genius. I’m on it. Thanks for sharing.
Great mission!
Yes it is Sheri.
Ok chief, if you say so!
Doesn’t seem to be a lot of arm twisting to get you to comply Bonnie. 🙂
Sounds great. The way we need food for body same way reading nourishes my soul.
Me too Sonia. Although I need both in heavy doses. 🙂
And I am not a big fan of food – I eat to live. I wish we humans had a battery to recharge 😉
Yes, large battery
Hmmm. Perhaps the odd electronic device would need to be disconnected in order for this to happen?
Hmmmmmm. You could be right! 🙂
