This makes me want to go out and wish everyone a good morning!

I love this, and I’ve found the same thing with “Hello!” Or “Hi” in my neighborhood. I’m always floored by those who will look right at you like you have three heads and then hurry on by, as if they only need walk faster to avoid catching whatever the hell “happy gene” you may have. Fascinating…. GOOD MORNING, David! Thx for making every one of my mornings brighter! 🙂

Laughing. I have NO doubt that you are the happy good morning lady. No doubt.

Why thank you! Although the way you phrase it, I feel like it makes me something akin to the “crazy cat lady” ;-). But it’s a compliment and I’m goin’ with it! 🙂

It’s TOTALLY a compliment. 🙂

I swear this is true – as I was waiting to begin my training program yesterday I sat in the building atrium with some coffee, writing some thoughts. And I decided to just smile at every person who waked by – they were the most dour group (I’m even going to post about it today)! And yes, they all (but for one) smiled in return. An act of ‘niceness’, an acknowledgement that we share the same space and might as well infuse it with something better than distaste. Hi David, it’s so good to read you.

They smiled in return because they thought you were a glam celeb from Housewives of DC.

Laughing really hard. Yup – that’s me …no wonder people kept stopping and asking for my autograph, winking with a knowing smile when seeing that I wrote “Mimi”. R-i-g-h-t.

Love this! Yes, I do this too. :). Though I had a crummy nights sleep last night and I appreciate this little ray of sunshine. 🙂

Laughing. I have no doubt Currie that you do this too! Every day all the time.

What a FANTASTIC guy…spreading all that positive energy around. Good Morning David!

Very nice. As I approach evening I will say, “Good Evening.” I think that still works. This guy might be one of those 100% givers. This is one to remember and follow his lead.

No doubt Michael, this guy is at 100% giving.

When I’m out walking my dog, I already say good morning to other dog owners, and to their dogs, too. I used to smile at and say hello to everybody, but the ones that ignore you or treat you like you’re some kind of idiot used to put the wind up me. Now I’m more selective, and do a tentative smile first, and if I get one back, the “good morning” follows. I like the idea of uploading something onto http://www.goodmornings.org as you know people want your greeting, or they wouldn’t be visiting the website, unless they’re miserable old wotsits who like to shout at their computers, of course.

Lovely, absolutely lovely.
I was in DC this week and was very excited to be there for many reasons but especially because I am a relatively new citizen. When I exited a Senate meeting and was walking down the steps towards the street, I found myself facing many school groups. Something came over me and I realized it was just complete joy at the experience. Smiling, I said “hello” and “good morning” to the teens and parents in line. I got many smiles and hellos back … walking along the sidewalk to my next appointment, I can still feel the energy that experience gave me. Powerful.
