Beautiful. We are soon facing a similar situation with our “Maggie” and I find myself being very selfish about when. This helps…thanks.

Yes Ray. Simple clip. But hits home with all dog owners/lovers.

I couldn’t watch this all the way through – too much for my heart to hold. I’m sorry.

I see that others reacted the same way. It did not show the ending heart break. It was a soft ending. But I understand. I do.

This broke my heart…

Yes, it was sad (and moving)

I had to stop too. Started crying from the beginning…..

I didn’t realize the impact this clip would have. It was really a nice, beautiful ending.

I couldn’t watch the whole thing…it’s been almost 14 years since we put our Tucker to sleep…I remember it like it was yesterday…tears me up when I go back to that time of great loss…So much love, such wonderful happy memories…

I’m sure our reaction with Zeke with be similar. Of course that time will never come. 🙂

Yes, too hard. Dog people don’t understand that cats bring the same joy in smaller packages. This grief is the price for their companionship.

I can see that to be true Sandy Sue

Boy this hit hard with me. Our Frankie is soon to be 13 and his grey muzzle and opaque eyes woke me early this morning for a quick trip outside. I know the day is coming, we’ve seen a dimming, and it’s still heart-breaking. I think that’s what good dogs do. They teach us how to love, how to play, how to relax, how to have joy in simple things — the sound of the grill being rolled out onto the patio, the creak of the cupboard *(where the treats are), and the delight of that door opening once again.
Beautiful, thanks for posting!

Thanks MJ. Your words on your Frankie were moving.

OMG, I love dogs so much…don’t make me think of the day when I’ll have to say good-bye to my Bella. She still has many years to go, I hope…but that video says so much about dogs and their incredible, unconditional love, and what they give to us crazy humans. There is nothing like it in the whole world.

Bella’s not going anywhere Carol. 🙂

Sorry, couldn’t watch it the whole thing…memories of doing this a little over a year ago are too fresh 🙁

Ahhh, you too Tina. I can see if the memories were fresh why this was difficult. It was a nice ending.

It’s always hard to lose a pet. They’re like a family member.

what a good puppy–and loving puppy owner. Animals are the best. Unconditional, in-their-very-cells, love.
