You are a college student. You go to see Billy Joel perform on campus. He was a childhood idol. You also happen to play the piano. You raise your hand during the Q&A section. He calls on you. You ask if you can play your favorite song with him. He agrees. The rest is history. As this student describes it: “The greatest moment of my life.” Sit back and enjoy…this is something special.
Thank you Lori @ Donna & Diablo for sharing this wonderful clip. (LOVED IT!)

I knew I would find something on the DK blog that would make this stressful day feel a bit better…thanks David. 🙂
Glad to hear it Carol. Thanks.
A dream come true. This young man was also on the TODAY show a couple of days ago. Very talented. Thanks for sharing. Love piano music and Mr Piano Man, Billy Joel.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
Yes, wonderful story Francine…loved it all.
Life is good!
It is. It is.
I’ve seen this now a few times on different sites, and each time it brings a tear to my eyes, not only for a Billy Joel song that I love, but for the courage of this man asking to play with him, and the gracious chance that Joel took in asking him up on stage. Bravo all around!
Yes, me too. I’ve watched it several times. Goose bumps each time…
This gets a re-blog in the morning……
Fire up the engines…
Woooooooooo….. How good was that…..!!!! 🙂
Fantastic… That was brilliant.. Worth all the piano lessons he must have had.!
A fabulous share, David… Thank You… 🙂
Yes Carolyn, it was brilliant…
LUCKY GUY!!!
Figured you’d like it! 🙂
Stunning. Sat here and whooped with the audience, and darn near cried.. Thanks, yes.
It was that good Makere. I “whooped” with audience too!
Saw this a week ago and did not send to you as I figured you already saw it or had it. Billy Joel never gets old.
No, as usual, I’m a week or two behind the pack.
I felt these amazing moments… This is great, and so beautiful… Thank you dear David, love, nia
Glad to hear it. It was beautiful Nia.
I saw this as well – and watched a subsequent interview with this young man. BOth were fantastic.

Tears and goosebumps! Incredible. I too love Billy Joel!! He was at our campus theater a while ago. Amazing music man!
It is amazing Judy. I haven’t seen him live. Must have been great.
Incredible dream come true story. Like Billy said, “The kid’s got chops.”
Yes, he’s very good.
So glad that this struck a chord, David. Like so many others, I’ve seen it a number of times and get a lump in my throat each and every time. As “Barneysday” so aptly noted, it was awesome to see the kid ‘grab the brass ring’ as it swung by and equally cool for Billy Joel to be gracious enough to let the kid share the spotlight for a few moments. And if ya ask me, that kid *killed it.* 🙂
Yes, he did “kill it”. 15 minutes of fame and he smashed it.
And thanks again for pointing me to it Lori. One of those clips that will never leave me.
Now that was six minutes of paradise 🙂
Wasn’t it though!
