The trick is in what one emphasizes.
We either make ourselves miserable,
Or we make ourselves happy.
The amount of work is the same.

Very cool pic…David did you know it’s snowing on your blog? Just flurries, but it’s snowing..
Yep, did you know that you could make it snow too?
I’m UP! Snowing over here as well.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
Good choice. You found the snow too, good!
That’s pretty neat. I choose up!
Another good choice.
I choose (= =) 😀 (: 🙂
Excellent choice Sonia
Up Up Up!! Love this as it’s so true!
Great choices. All 3 ups, that is.
Great visual. I know someone who seems to have that visual turning in their head because it’s almost impossible to figure out from one moment to the next just what mood they are in!
Loved the visual too Laurie. Thanks…Hope that someone isn’t too close to home!
Most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be.

Another great quote from Abe!
I nominated you for One Lovely Blog award. Keep on going.
Thank you!
Yes keep it up!!
Good choice!
That pic is the story of my life! I have learned over the last few years that it takes work to be happy and it takes a-lot of work to be miserable…which do I want more. I chose happiness. Great reminder…thank you!
Thanks. And I agree. As Carlos states, it takes an equal amount of work….
Reblogged this on Not Perfect Me.
On the boat happy and in the water unhappy, Over the hill unhappy and valley happy..when safe happy and in turmoil unhappy :))
Let’s take the happy boat.
yes..
So right. It’s all up to us which we choose.:-)
Yes sireee…
…and making ourselves happy is energizing. Making ourselves miserable most decidedly is not.
Yet, should be that simple and understood…and so easy to get mired in the wrong path.
And it’s the permanent lines etched on each person’s face, which tells an observer the expression an individual has most favoured over the years.
Oh No. I’m in trouble.
From your photo on Twitter, you look very youthful, and any minor wrinkles seem to be the right way up on your face 😉
It’s photoshopped. 🙂
Of course I choose up! Always…fall down sometime, but always choose UP! 🙂
Another great choice.
My glass is almost always half full.
Good. Darlene, did you happen to take my test @ http://davidkanigan.com/2012/04/03/how-do-you-see-the-glass/
Everyone has a choice…
Yes. And sometimes, too many…
