Clear White Morning

I do not know what gorgeous thing
the bluebird keeps saying
his voice easing out of his throat,
beak, body into the pink air
of the early morning. I like it
whatever it is. Sometimes
it seems the only thing in the world
that is without dark thoughts.
Sometimes it seems the only thing
in the world that is without
questions that can’t and probably
never will be answered, the
only thing that is entirely content
with the pink, then clear white
morning and, gratefully, says so

    1. So true Scott!

Against all odds, against all handicaps, against the chamber of horrors we call history, man has continued to dream and to depict its opposite. That is what we have to do. We do not escape into philosophy, psychology, and art—we go there to restore our shattered selves into whole ones.

  1. Awh, this is SO precious. Now I’m torturing myself because I need to know why beloved Mary speaks of Blue Horses and tells us all about this lovely, darling bird…. And YES Mister Dave, dear friend, we also want to hear (again!) about YOUR feelings, not only those brilliant quotes – we want more David….

  2. Below the end of your offer today is a heading:
