I’m not an exceptional person, but I am a grower. I do have the ability to look at my shortcomings, and then try to prod myself into becoming a more fully developed person.

and that makes all the difference
Sure does!
Love David Brooks!
Me too!!!!
Me also!!
I pray not to stop growing and tackling my shortcomings!
No worries. You have 3 lifetimes worth of inventory!
Three lifetimes worth of growing to do! Yes!
🙂
Love that word ‘prod.’ I get it!
Reason why I started gardening.
Ah yes!
Is there anything else?
Not that I can think of. 🙂
I do have the ability to look at my shortcomings….
Yes, so do I – and I’ve learned to accept and even love me a bit for they, too, are part of me… not only the already well developed strengths. We should – bien sur – strife for improvements, but aren’t we just a bit too demanding ALL THE TIME? Since I have let go of the word Ambition in my life, I’ve become immensely more of a happy human.
Happy Human and HH. You have the H’s down!
🙃 I never saw it like that 🙂
😁
Dave
I like his joyful image…and that is a grower…with each step forward, we draw in that fresh new gift of breath…(hard to think that many can’t appreciate the gift of life)…we learn (thus grow) from the difficulties, mourn through the sorrows and at some point – experience the Joy(s)
Well said Christie.
