The early birds showing up…including that rare species, the David Kanigan! What an entry into the day…thank you! Refering to earlier mention of black crowned night heron–seeing one all by myself for the first time (with a birder friend) when visiting the Brigantine wild life park, was an utter thrill! The black crown was an intense very dark blue, and the white parts ultra white…protecting the nest.
