The utter tranquility of these images delights me. What a lovely way to glide into Friday….☺️
“Utter Tranquility” – that’s exactly how it felt this morning. TGIF Lori

It is such a beautiful gift to open your post and feel myself effortlessly drifting in a sea of grace.
Thank you for the morning splendour.
Awww. So beautiful. Thanks Louise.
That first photo looks like a black-crowned night heron. I’ve never seen one, but would love to, one day.
It is!!! Beautiful bird.
We have many of them here.
Envious!

Best time of day!! … “Birds @ Daybreak. 4:58 to 5:18 am, May 21, 2021. 55° F. Weed Ave / Cove Island Park, Stamford, CT.”
It is!
The early birds showing up…including that rare species, the David Kanigan! What an entry into the day…thank you! Refering to earlier mention of black crowned night heron–seeing one all by myself for the first time (with a birder friend) when visiting the Brigantine wild life park, was an utter thrill! The black crown was an intense very dark blue, and the white parts ultra white…protecting the nest.
Yes Valerie. They are beautiful creatures! We seem to have a healthy flock here at Cove Island.
