A mom is a mom, no matter what species. ❤
Truth!
Moms have a way of doing that…

They do…
It is a fine photo. It made me want linger a moment.
Thank you Kelly. And I did…
It’s a lovely photo for all the right reasons.
Thanks Dale.
Definitely stirs the soul and heightens anticipation for what’s next (awwww….goslings!). Don’t kid yourself though – there are many many many photos that have stirred this soul
Smiling. Truth!
a vigilant sentinel of the most important kind
Sentinel. Love that word. Yes!
as long as you had one like that stirred your soul, then that’s a successful jaunt…
Exactly. Agree Jim.
Silly goose, trying to bring off a brood there.
Yes. And determined to make it happen.
I wish her good luck, but I fear for her little ones.
Yep.
What a wonderful capture 🙏
She’s highly collaborative!
I highly respect your words and opinion, David. I do love the picture as I’m an avid birder myself (today, a cardinal’s eggs have hatched in our front yard), but you have displayed some very moving and sour-stirring photos throughout these 300+ days… Thank you.
Smiling. Thank you Daniel. Means a lot to me.
A mother’s love…incomparable and endless. Feeling gratitude for being able to mother three children in this life–an opportunity to open the heart, and bring all gifts to the fore. Love this Mother Goose!
Yes! Me too.

Early morning – nestting!! … “And only THIS one stirs the soul. Mother Goose @ Cove Island Park. 6:49 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2021.”
This is a beautiful photo, pal, but as others have so rightly noted, there have been a string of visual heart songs these past 300+ days…💕
Thank you Lori
mothers are best – but right second to that one which touched your soul, I’d choose the flying geese in that same series – which touched me deeply!
Awww. So good! Thank you!
The first thing I felt looking at this capture was ‘fragile.’ It’s very strange she has built her nest so openly and in such a vulnerable space? It’s almost like I can sense her saying, ‘Yes I know it’s not safe!!! But I’m here now …and just trying to deal with it!!’ 😬
Laughing. I like your interpretation!
