Monday Morning Wake-Up Call

Most of us live in this paradox: we are trailing glimpses of insight, knowing why we are here, and not knowing. We both remember, and forget. We are imbued with wonder, and sometimes consumed with loss. From childhood on, we seek our purpose in a thousand ways…The purpose of life is not to maintain personal comfort; it’s to grow the soul…”The work” does not need to be grand, only fitting. It is guided by asking ourselves over and over: What is the next right thing?

  1. well there David, you do seem to know it all…. 😉
Couldn’t agree more. Greetings and wishes for a truly great week, in all the right senses and directions.

  2. David from a nondual perspective there is no seeker and nothing to seek. It’s all part of the swirling, broiling mass of the ineffable, the unexplained. Thanks for sharing. – blessings, Julian

        1. And your post “What am I” (loved it btw) reminded me of:

“I wonder if I’ve been changed in the night. Let me think. Was I the same when I got up this morning? I almost think I can remember feeling a little different. But if I’m not the same, the next question is ‘Who in the world am I?’ Ah, that’s the great puzzle!”

  3. The paradox and struggle between ego and soul, self and Self. When we realize that we are spiritual beings wrapped up in this human bag of matter, things begin to get easier. 💛

  4. Just like dreaming…knowing why we are here, and not knowing. We both remember, and forget….these are indeed glimpses of who we are and what we fear and what we want. Great post my friend.

  5. We say that a lot down at my group. For me it means no matter how bad I mess up, doing the next right thing will always be available. Its kind of relaxing, knowing that. It takes a little pressure off.
