Notes:
- Photograph by Andy Anderson: “These camels were herded in our direction in the morning of a desert campout east of Abu Dhabi. We stood and watched on a dune ridge.”

I wonder what they are thinking about…..maybe hump day? ☺☺☺
I always look forward to your posts, thank you,

It does. Though I’m surprised with your 7 day work scheduled, you see many of those.

They have made the video unavailable again. Even the repost in the comments.
What a tease!

The link takes me to a post with a video. I thought there would be an explanation of the Caleb thing, or a geico commercial, but there is a video there that is no longer available. Everyone loves this Caleb thing, but I must confess I’m in the dark.

The depth of beauty drifts into serenity and looking at the photos more closely on the Nat Geo link, a contrast as well…,the faint shadow of the skeletal armature, the base of perhaps an oil rig a man made sculpture rising, towering… anchored against the landscape… man’s mark on the once wild land…much like the contrast of the Great Pyramids rising from the ground and now sadly, . condos bordering them…the beauty of wild again continuously facing the encroachment of modern times… the Nomadic herders of camels, of Reindeer, the Basque Sheepherder, the American & Argentinian Cowboys all working the wild lands and one day their way of life will disappear, engulfed by mans spread….

this “Great Pyramids rising from the ground and now sadly, . condos bordering them” is very sad.

Caleb feels as remote as I have been this week. I hope to settle back into the Khasbah this weekend.
