Guess.What.Day.It.Is?

Caleb-camel-hump-day-wednesday

Caleb was in Central Park way before the horse and buggy rides showed up. Debra, from The Ptero Card, shared the following:

“I knew I had a more personal connection to Caleb. It was a long time ago, somewhere in the late 1960’s New York City. As you can see from the photo, I had to share him with others.”

Thank you Debra

      1. I’m sure there are tons of zoos that offer camel rides..We just happened to grow up there, so that’s where went. Rode an elephant too. And then fed them. Hmmm…can I be six again for a minute? Cotton candy, imitating the monkey calls, begging to pet a lion…and oh the rhino..

          1. Let’s not even talk about Rye Playland – tilt-a-whirl anyone? The scrambler? Picking out the absolute best horse on the merry-go-round? And my dad arguably having as much fun as we did.

  1. Yes, it was either the Bronx zoo, or Central park, but I believe it was the Bronx zoo.

After becoming a huge fan of David’s blog and finding Caleb here, I had to wonder why I was drawn to all his pictures of Caleb. Recently, I remembered the camel ride I had taken way back when, and found this old slide from the 1960’s. That’s my 10 year old self with the blue jacket and red pants on.

    Happy Hump day!
    Debra
