OK. I read it Todd. And here’s the highlights…
1) Sugar makes us hungry.
2) Sugar makes us moody and sluggish.
3) Excess sugar is stored as fat.
4) Sugar AGEs us.
5) Sugar impacts our immune system
And, I still want it. 🙂

Pal, I may be waaayyy off base here, but I’m getting the distinct feeling that you’re a junk food junkie. May I humbly suggest instead some fresh sliced strawberries drizzled with 1/3 c. balsamic vinegar, 2 tsp sugar, and 1/2 tsp of fresh lemon juice. HEAVEN! Full. Stop. 😉

Where’s the fun (taste) in that? And I don’t see anything appealing that is sweet with vinegar drizzled on it. Come on Lori. Live it up!
Loading...
Don’t knock it til you try it. And if you really want to live it up, you top it with whipped marscapone cheese. Yeah baby, yeah! 🙂

Whipped Cheese? What could possibly be next? Turnips?

Laughing….uncle, I cry, uncle. Clearly a man and his culinary indiscretions are not easily rent asunder…..
Loading...
Ahhhhh, now you are a food snob. And I have no culinary aptitude. When will this mud slinging stop?

I love your pictures! How colorful.

Not my pictures, but thank you…

and in case you do not want to be healthy–add some vodka

This looks wonderful! I’ll probably tweak the gelatine recipe by lessening the sugar or using stevia, then adding a few cubes of fruit to increase the fiber content. I think my always-hungry brothers will like this very much!

Thanks for sharing Shelley

I just read the comments and it seems that you’re being ganged up on. You open up a tiny bit and wham, they feed it right back to you on dagger tips. But you knew when you shared those tidbits, that women can be cruel, didn’t you?

You are right Anneli. They’re like a pack of wolves on a defensive fawn separated from herd. 🙂
Loading...
Oh no. You’re really digging a hole for yourself. They’re going to get you now, little fawn!
Loading...
Yep, feeding them raw meat. I should know better.

Great idea

Isn’t it though!

ummm … why not just eat the fresh fruit?

Oh Brother. Why not live a little?
Loading...
Yeah. Living a little (longer) might be a good point. What was I thinking?

Laughing. (Let me slide the dagger out of my back)

I almost leapt to your defense (with my typical vehemence) until you started in with the Bambi analogy. You’re on your own kiddo.

Now that’s funny!

😉 Well come on – Bambi? You? Really?

AND, I’m still laughing…

And I’m still trying to pick a better character for you…the Genie in Aladdin keeps coming to mind. Robin Williams did the voiceover and was brilliantly funny, the genie looms large over everyone else – I guess because he can, he’s a genie after all – alternates between self-deprecating and forgiving. One of my favorite characters. And now it’s 6AM and I’m thinking Disney. How the heck am I going to read the Times?

Brilliant! I’m framing this.

Orange sections are my favorite thing after a run. Filled with jello shots (no point in skipping the vodka!) I’m in!

Finally, a follower that nails it! Carolann, I just knew we were simpatico!
