I’m surprised they didn’t include the seven vestal virgins who would decide who would live or die during battles in the Coliseum.

Well now, that’s quite an addition. What’s more surprising is how you pull these thoughts out so early in the morning. Shock and awe, it really is.

Laughing…count on me…very strange way that my head works (there is some humor in having the pot calling the kettle black here, pal). I always felt bad for those girls. They were forcibly ‘retired’ from their jobs (so to speak) at 30. So these young women at the risk of death themselves had to make the thumbs up or down decision on behalf of the Emperor. To have that on your conscience when you’re barely old enough to appreciate what a conscience is. I don’t know, seems like a lousy job to me.

I love you guys, I really do. Where ELSE on the web could one go to chat about vestal virgins, vomit removal and leech collection, all before 7a EST? 🙂

This is where the real “salt of the earth” group gathers in the early hours of the morning…brave enough to speak of unspeakable things all before breakfast. 🙂

That’s true! 🙂

Filled with gratitude … how luxurious to work in my quiet personal home office with hot coffee and a beautiful view this morning!

Aren’t you blessed!

Whoa…I’m happy for a couple reasons, 1. I got up late this morning and 2. I’m happily retired!

Lucky you!

I’m happy to be retired too. 🙂 None of those jobs would get my CV application.

I am glad for my job…occasionally vomit does come up in job duties…but for the most part working in the medical word is very rewarding 🙂

Everyone should read this…maybe this would make a lot of people realize how lucky they are to have a job.
