January Rain

David Gray drove me into the office this morning with “January Rain“…One of the sound tracks from the movie Serendipity.  Gray and this tune are both long time favorites.  And yes, it was raining on a misty, dreary January morning…yet, I find it impossible not to be inspired by this music.

  1. DK. You are my “culture vulture” and my “man on the ground”. I loved this. My late wife used to tell me that i best fit inthe ice age. Your posts are putting me in touch with the “cool kids”. My kids keep asking me “who’s is this Kanigan guy”. I tell them he’s a hipster i used to know and still admire

  2. this is a song that a man and a woman in love slow step together, moving in quiet circles, entwined in each other. oblivious to everything else. pure rapture. them. the music.

  3. This is an appropriate song for large parts of Alberta right now. We have taken a temporary break from winter with +5 C weather and rain the last day and into the next two or three days.

  4. Thank you for this, it’s absolutely lovely, and it feels like pleasant January rain music! Although at the moment in England it has snowed quite heavy, and turned everywhere into a winter wonderland, not so wonderful to walk on though!
    Suzy 😀

  5. Balmy in Alberta, it certainly is.. And in Edmonton, just the littlest bit rainy.. Evocative of home in New Zealand. Am loving this music, so delighted to be a DK groupie, thank you for the joy!
