Monday Morning Wake-Up Call

maybe we try too hard to be
remembered, waking to the
glowing yellow disc in ignorance,
swearing that today will be
the day, today we will make

something of our lives. what
if we are so busy searching
for worth that we miss the
sapphire sky and cackling
blackbird, what else is missing?

maybe our steps are too straight
and our paths too narrow and
not overlapping…

  1. If one can hold onto the images of the sun radiating pinks and oranges across the sky, then perhaps we can let go of our own legacies for a bit…just perfect, Dave

  3. What if, indeed? What if we do stray off that path we think is right and go onto the one that brings us joy…

  5. The resource you used for this entry it’s amazing! I love going where your eye leads. Between colors and nature, I am focused and slow for a moment (At least). Thank you!
