OMG. Yes. That.
Except for me, it’s the reading of the news. All day long, like a moth to a flame…and each time, i say – enough, it’s too much, too unsettling. And then the loop starts all over again…
So true. We didn’t watch any news last week. We’ve “missed” suicide bombers, protests marches, political blabla etc. Instead of this we’ve talked to friendly people, collected seashells, spent misty evenings in small cafès or took long walks. It’s sooo good (and so important) to see life from another point of view. There’s a wonderful world and there are so many wonderful people beside all the bad news. Let’s go and find them.
Totally true..

Truth! I notice this every time I visit my parents. They watch the evening news. I don’t…

That’s why I avoid listening/watching the news except in cryptic patches…it’s crazy and there’s nothing I can do about it…

Lucky you to miss last week, sounds like you landed on Fantasy Island.

No. But the Isle of Jersey in the English Channal comes very close to that.
