  1. How nice that the Atlantic brant showed up there. Our black brant (the Pacific Flyway kind) didn’t show up here like they usually do. Maybe they went elsewhere on the island, but it was strange not to see or hear any up our way this year.

  2. As the wonderful, muted, glowing photo appeared: my first thought was this:

    Lyrics of “Nightingale”

“Like some night bird homeward wingin’
    He seeks the sheltered nest
    Like the sailor’s lost horizon
He needs some place to rest…”

Written by David Palmer & Carole King
Sung by Carole King (such a gift)

“David Palmer is an American vocalist, songwriter and photographer best known as a former member of Steely Dan and as the lyricist of “Jazzman”, a No. 2 hit for Carole King.”
    From Wikipedia

I tried to include a youtube of the song wasn’t able too…

Hello, to all and hope everyone enjoys their Sunday…
    Kindly, Christie

  3. Hope you Love the song… David Palmer wrote at least two songs with or for the songstress, Carole King…many of the Steely Dan songs and prolifically for others through out his career. He is 84 years old now…(he was so great when he wrote, sang & played as a member of Steely Dan) really the song tracks for many of us as we we grew up…
