Officials record and examine cygnets and swans during the annual census of the Queen’s swans, known as ‘Swan Upping,’ along the River Thames near Chertsey, Britain. (Toby Melville, Reuters, wsj.com July 16, 2018)
…grateful that I have a different cygnet visual–recently a friend took me to the Royal Ballet film of Swan Lake…wonderful to see these swans up close and from all angles (also behind the scenes)…here’s to beauty in our lives!
And there was me, eagerly awaiting another LONG short story on David Kanigan’s so very full life 🙂

Given the testy nature of swans, don’t think I’d be turning my back. But…it’s Friday, so nothing can hurt us, right?!

I’m guessing getting a sharp peck in the back is preferable to getting it in the front?
