      1. Not to worry Marina. As a sports car fanatic I can tell you that there are currently (I just checked) 25 different versions of the Porsche 911 for sale! Starting prices (with no options) range from $115,000 to $290,000. Add the hybrid and you have 26 versions to choose from. 🙂

  1. Yay! I’m famous now! And everyone knows my last name lol. Thank you Dave for the using the photo I suggested! Caleb would look fantastic driving a 911! (he would of course need a convertible because he is just a tad too big to drive that car.)

    1. (Skip this comment if you have no interest in sports cars/Porsches)…

Now that my full name has been unmasked I would like to share a couple of things very quickly. 1: The Porsche 911 is my absolute favorite car in the universe, and I had the privilege of owning one (purchased very very used with 85,000 miles on it) from 1999 to 2023. She was beautiful, but alas the effort required to fix all the problems with a 1984 vehicle finally overwhelmed me. Hence the 2023 sale. 2: One of the many reasons I love Audi’s is that they are sister cars to Porsches. Porsche, Audi, (and Lamborghini) are all owned by Volkswagen. 3: My self given nickname “The Flying Lizard“ comes directly from the fact that Flying Lizard Motorsports (my favorite sports car racing team) always has (and I hope always will) raced Porsche 911s. In the early days they raced 911s exclusively, but they have since branched out and also race cars made by Audi, McLaren, Lamborghini, and Aston Martin.

Thank you for tolerating this “ramble“!

  2. PS: If anyone is interested in learning more about Flying Lizard Motorsports please see LIZARDMS dot com. How can you not love the corporate logo! I own TONS of Flying Lizard t-shirts, sweatshirts, ball caps, posters, model cars and more…
I will not live long enough to wear out my Lizard clothing!
An overview of the team history is available on Wikipedia.
BTW the history behind the name of the team is a secret known only by team founder Seth Neiman. Seth sold the team to one of his employees quite a few years back, but continues to hold this secret. No one knows where the Flying Lizard name came from. (Such drama!)

(They took first place in a race this past weekend with one of their Lamborghinis.)

  3. Thanks everyone for tolerating my rambling about sports cars. As I often tell people: “don’t get me started on this topic“.

If my comments bored you to death, my sincere apologies. At least I did it on a day when there was not too much conversation in the blog!

    Have a wonderful Thursday everyone!

  4. Caleb was spotted at 12:56 PM today near Frankfurt Germany on the Autobahn cruising along happily at 160 mph (257.5 KPH). Ears flapping… With an ear to ear grin on his face, he gave us a quick wave as he flew by. 🙂

Caleb knows how to live large!

        1. Well… I suppose it does detract a bit from his “Timeless Noble Image”. (Quick comparison: I can’t really picture the Dalai Lama driving a Porsche.)

He should only put the pedal to the metal when nobody is looking! 🙂

Or, maybe he can come up with a disguise so that he looks like Jay Leno!

          1. On the other hand, Caleb does not look particularly noble in the Geico commercial! (But he’s not living large in the commercial either.)

I’m going to stick with: “He should only ‘live large’ in secret.” 😁
