Sunday Morning

I caught my breath and walked on, with a rising sense that glory was all around me. Only at twilight can an ordinary mortal walk in light and dark at once—feet plodding through night, eyes turned up toward bright day. It is a glimpse into eternity, that bewildering notion of endless time, where light and dark exist simultaneously.

  1. Before the Internet, I used to tell my brain, “Store this beautiful moment in one of your folds for those days in which you can’t remember other things.” I hope you do that, too, but I also hope you’re printing these out!

  2. Beautiful! what an amazingly wide vista you captured this morning! and so descriptive of twilight, leaving night behind, and looking far out and around to see the coming day. I’ve always liked dusk and twilight. Thank you for capturing your up close and personal twilights.

  3. “Only at twilight can an ordinary mortal walk in light and dark at once”there is something in this line I am reading it again and again. I am not getting the exact word to explain it but the feeling is of transformation. Stay warm and take care.
