Monday Morning

5/24/41…

After all that, the change … was like the sudden, unwelcome awakening from a glorious dream. An awakening on a Monday morning when, with one’s castle and clouds and the silver sea dissolved into a sordid room, one realizes that one has to get up and dress in the cold night in a few minutes and plod through a weary day.

  2. The Talented Mr. Ripley was a good movie, and I suppose to write the book about it must have taken a certain talent, but from what I’ve read about Patricia Highsmith, I think our personalities would probably clash (and I don’t clash with many people). Nice swan though!

  3. Love seeing a swan…what a Monday morning greeting for you! I wondered about the “graying” and looked it up: Trumpeter juveniles have gray feathers on the head and neck persisting well into spring. Wintering Trumpeter juveniles may vary in age by up to 6 weeks due to … My youngest son’s birthday today…so grateful…(he’s graying too!)
