…sit on your eggs for 35 to 36 days. Believe we are on Day 2 or 3. (As to Mother Goose, she’s still workin’ it.) DK Photos taken @ Weed Avenue / Cove Island Park, Stamford, CT during the mornings of April 26 & April 27th, 2021. (Related Swan posts: Swan1)

Clearly! (Let’s hope so!) I don’t see her mate anywhere to cover when she needs a break.

What a divine photo — probably not a divine location though!
And on that note… it struck me that one of the beautiful things about your photos (and there are many) is the silence every image evokes simply because the highway/ambient noise is not a visible/audible component of each one.
Sort of like life — when we pause and sink down into the silence within, we eliminate all the noise and clatter outside. In that place of sanctuary, we really do fall with grace into that place of 4 natural sanctuaries.

First off – how cool that Mother Goose is within view of your camera and thus, within our view. Louise said it. Your photos truly do bring such a lovely sense of peace, David. I love this and know you will keep us posted on this.

Wow! How exquisitely gorgeous! How did you ever find her if so near the highway? Yes, thank you for bringing us into this world. And, yes, you bring us silence and serenity even if a road coexists with all of these mothers.

I went to check in on her this morning, and she picked up and waddled into the water. No eggs!

Wondering if she stopped the process because it did not feel safe enough…
