These are funny, but what’s not funny and something I worry about is that young children can’t read their parents’ facial expressions when they are out in a place where masks are required. A lot of behavioural cues and emotional expressions are masked at those times.

i spend my days with the 3 and 4 yeqr olds and they are so much better about wearing masks, without complaint, than many adults.

Of course they are! We can all learn something from them. Empathy, compassion for others…

all we have to say is that we do this to keep others safe, and they wear them with pride.

Funny! But a part of me wants to know the nitty gritty psychological stuff behind the choices we make. Thanks Dave!
Tomorrow we venture out to pick up our second adopted welsh terrier. We returned the first one ( who was so sweet with humans but reactive to dogs …including our old Teddy). Life is so much easier and better with one. But if you have the outdoor space, and space in your heart, it seems to make sense to fill it more.

Enjoy Sully! I’m siting hear in the sofa with a very timid snuggling Welsh Terrier. I hope I can make her life a bit brighter and easier 🥰 she is called Jeepers, and has lovely eyes. We may change the name as she is also a wee Poppet.

Actually ‘twas Jeepers as in the song. Poppet is a sweet little thing in Scots, not the valve.
