The wind is careless—
uncertain—
I like the wind—
it seems more like me than anything else—
I like the way it blows things around—roughly—even meanly—
then the next minute seems to love everything—some days is amazingly quiet.

If anything has been arbitrarily unkind – as O’Keefe describes the wind – it has been this year. I hope that 2021 is gentler and quieter for all. Much love to the Kanigan clan and best wishes for this coming year.

Hoping the wind carries this annum horribilis far, far away, and blows in a fresh start for us all. A very happy new year to the Kanigan family. Your daily presence in my world has been one of the bright spots in this year, pal, and I look forward to many more exchanges in 2021. ☺️

And… wishing you and your family a calm and gentle slip into the New Year filled with your heart’s delight. _ One of my favourite New year’s wishes is from Germany where they say, “Ein Gutes Rutsch in Neues Yahr”. – which translates to – a good slip/slide into the New Year. For some reason, the image of that phrase pleases my heart.
