Saturday Morning

I like to sit quietly. When I watch a movie I don’t like to discuss it with anyone. No talking. Occasionally I watch the same movie over and over again. I prefer watching movies alone. I prefer reading alone. I prefer walking alone. Alone I go along very well. I’m looking for nobody, and I hope nobody is looking for me.

  1. I feel so comfortable being alone. I certainly wasn’t always that way. And it’s where I have learned so much about who I am and what I am capable of. But then again, being with others can mirror our darkest secrets ha!! We def need both 😊

  2. Two places I love to be alone — in my studio. In my kitchen. Oh. And the bathroom too but Beaumont the Sheepadoodle sometimes makes that impossible. He’s even taught himself to slide the door to the master ensuite open. 🙂

I also love walking alone. And walking with dear friends — especially in these times of Covid when walking outside is the only place I get to spend quality time with those outside our ‘bubble’.

My beloved and I watch movies together in bed on separate laptops — he watches ‘dickflicks’ (I call them that because he teases me about chickflicks) 🙂 And I watch movies of my choice on my laptop. We do hold hands – but no popcorn in bed!

And btw — because of you, being laid up with a bad back this weekend was much more pleasurable. I devoured Queen’s Gambit. Thank you! 🙂

  3. Your beautiful photos exult “a sunny day is here again!”
Anyone who can enjoy his/her own company is blessed. This is a challenge many are faced with right now. So much to consider here. Actually, being with others can also be a mirror for our dark side…although we usually project that aspect onto others. With others we can laugh and love more readily…great to get all we can out of either.
