Saturday Morning

Notes:

  • Daybreak. 5:04 am. June 20, 2020. 67° F. Humidity 100%. Wind: 3 mph. Gusts: 5 mph. Cloud Cover: 13%. Weed Ave, Stamford, CT.
  • And inspired by this:

A long dark curve is the poem in your body
is the river
is the loon’s throat.
Have you ever asked yourself how
the loon’s voice
opens?

~ Cheryl Hellner, from “Prayer for the Wild Voice, for Nina” (Heron Dance Journal, Feb 2006)

  1. Are you using a filter or editing effect to get that color or is that just the natural lighting? That has been a consistent shade. Beautiful, regardless. Your pictures reminded me about and sent me searching for my bird watching photos, which I started posting last night.

  2. Yes. I’m here. Fuck FLYING with WORDPRESS…I don’t fly. I’m not even a duck.
I’m just trying to get through the day with air on my face. I tried flying before. Pure ego..pure performance. Fuck it. I like to look but not touch…if I touch…oh well….live with it, which is all I want today.
Another new pic? I have trouble knowing which image looks right… this one is too fucking serious looking. I want to write comedy…can you help me with that?

    1. Thanks Jet. I think you are right or cormorant front. I couldn’t find a loon poem, so we’re going with the loon on the poem, and a cormorant that is substituting in the photo! So glad you confirmed that – I wasn’t sure.
