Lightly Child, Lightly.

Awakened by the sun flooding my bed.

A day like a crystal cup overflowing with an uninterrupted blue and gold light.

~ Albert Camus, from Notebooks 1951-1959

  1. Aaaaah – the loveliness and beauty, the stillness and peace of this very moment…..
And I didn‘t know that Albert Camus could sound sooooo beautiful in English – it‘s truly a WONDER-FUL(L) language

    1. You’ve triggered an onslaught of may favorites:

      The time has come
      To stop allowing the clutter
      To clutter my mind
      Like dirty snow,
      Shove it off and find
      Clear time, clear water…

For it is now or not
As old age silts the stream,
      To shove away the clutter,
      To untie every knot,
To take the time to dream,
To come back to still water.

  3. Such a beautiful image, David. Our bedroom faces east and so, if I’m still there, the sun pours through. And at night, I can see the wide night sky (I decided not to add any window treatment). Such a gift each and every day and night. Happy Valentine’s Day!

  4. And it just so happens that the sun is shining here between floating fluffy clouds, making all that new snow we got yesterday sparkle. How can one remain blue in such conditions?
    Have a glorious day!

  5. I always love reading Albert Camus. The image wonderfully soothing…I can imagine two sweet kitties who’d be basking in the warmth of those sun rays, reaching & settling after traveling so many light years to that destination at that exact moment…mind-boggling miracle…
