Yes, and sadly it isn’t over yet for those poor folks along the Carolina coast. Keeping a good thought for all in the next few days. Sweet photo, too, pal.
…aren’t they adorable! and, probably that road doesn’t look “long” to them…and they are home wherever they are…and their butts don’t look too fat…maybe it’s a good life.
By the way, my good friend has a daughter and son in law living in Wilmington NC with a two story boat, but he plans to stay–their emergency plan is with the local hospital–their close friend, a doctor, has listed them as “relatives” in case they need to get out. I finally turned off the tv….
The NC friends were very lucky. They were in the eye of the hurricane, and the water only came up 10 feet from their front yard. They live on a hill–apparently most of Wilmington was originally built on a hill.
Great photo for end of week. Somehow or another it “feels” peaceful. Mom and baby out for a little stroll talking about life in the setting sun, and what to do this weekend.
Sooo long. Got home past 11:30 pm from a ca-razy night at work.. So glad to see the butt end of the week as we enter into the weekend with the bonus of me not working Saturday! Woot! Sunday I do, though… sigh…

So sad Rhino’s are still being killed for their horn. Chinese medicine and black market are killing such a gentle giant.

I couldn’t get myself to comment here this morning. It was a long Friday. Longer than the rest of the week.
