Oh these poetic words – I can just feel the sun warming my eyelids. Returned very late last night after a very long drive, had a very bad cramp in my leg during the night, feel beaten and bone-tired and NOW the sun is out to warm my poor eyes, make them whole again, take out the itch and replace it with lovely images of light playing through the leaves of trees, space the surrounding with shafts of loveliness and telling me that this new day is going to be just wonderful!
Shall look up the beautiful Haruki Murakami 🙂

David, my life gets weirder and weirder….. I actually have 2 books by Murakami: The Wind Up Bird Chronicle and Norwegian Woods. Might not have read NW yet but seem to vaguely remember having read the unusual and ‘cool’ Wind up bird chronicle….. That’s what you get when your reading list (only written down over the last maybe 10 years and with books I could still ‘trace’ back) contains nearly 2000 titles!

Was just sitting out in the garden yesterday, reveling in the afternoon sun and a light breeze as I read Krista Tippett’s book ‘Becoming Wise.’ A wonderful selection that you put me onto, and now I must add Murakami to the list!
