So the oranges are still good on the inside. It’s just the outside that’s covered in mildew. (Just kidding.) Very effective way of making us look at the inside of the fruit and vegetables.

Sadly it reminded me of several related food events after my return home ….. lemons, oranges & grapefruit turned grey & white (spoilt while waiting….), and the reversed feeling of liking green asparagus so much better than ‘our’ Cavaillon asparagus (white).
A jolt of the unexpected yet familiar. Clever, very clever. Hope it’s a metaphor for my Friday. 😉
