  1. How adorable…they’re in sync! Makes me laugh! and that is good [dealing with all sorts of not good news from many in my life: death, lifetime savings hacked from Fidelity, being fired for being 60 and not Chinese, tax owed to IRS] So death and taxes…but a baby and his loving caretake sleeping in bliss in the sun also!

  2. Lovely. Can’t wait for it to be warm enough here to do that very thing… raise my face to the sun… Not that I can’t do it now… I just have to dress like an Inuit to sit on a bench!

    1. poor Dale; shall I take in a ‘face-full’ of sunshine for you? Downside for me is however that yesterday, together with being outside, my pollen allergy was out too, I was sneezing and rubbing my eyes from morning to deep into the night! Nothing is ever completely perfect, is it?

  3. “A Prayer in Spring” by robert frost….

    A Prayer in Spring

    Oh, give us pleasure in the flowers to-day;
    And give us not to think so far away
    As the uncertain harvest; keep us here
    All simply in the springing of the year.

    Oh, give us pleasure in the orchard white,
    Like nothing else by day, like ghosts by night;
    And make us happy in the happy bees,
    The swarm dilating round the perfect trees.

    And make us happy in the darting bird
    That suddenly above the bees is heard,
    The meteor that thrusts in with needle bill,
    And off a blossom in mid air stands still.

    For this is love and nothing else is love,
    The which it is reserved for God above
    To sanctify to what far ends He will,
    But which it only needs that we fulfill.

  4. We had a beautiful, warm day too on Friday – I even could hang up two washings outside, it all dried and the beds were remade with fresh & wonderfully smelling linens. Oh the joy and gratefulness for the return of sunshine and warmth. Lunch was enjoyed outside too and blooms cover every surface of my house.
    I DO share a thought with those poor friends all over Europe and the USA who are still in winter mode – don’t feel bad. Soon enough it will be you who are complaining about heat waves…. 🙂

  5. Having lived in “Winterpeg” for many moons, I find even the slightest temperature above minus 25C a delight. Chicago has become my “Florida”, David. No complaints about the weather from yours truly. *grin* Cher xo
