i enjoy mornings that you wake up to silence
and no one is asking anything of you,
you’re under no pressure to exist…

I’m happy to report that there are generally few asking anything around 4:30 in the morning. My quiet time….

When I’m up early, like today, I always have pressure… to get to the airport in time. Love the image.

Like my morning most days. Around me the house sleeps as I patter in bare feet to the kitchen, turn on the kettle and sit in the silence, feeling peaceful and relaxed. Such a blissful space.

Yes, I agree with your other commenters. It’s why we like to get up early. One of the reasons, anyway.

With the crazy wind we had last night, the power was knocked out. The quiet was so wonderful…
On weekdays, me boys actually get up before me and leave the house by 7:00, Just me and Zeke after that. But come week-ends, it is I who is up waaaaay before them. Love it too.

Could you just tell me WHERE this is so that I can try it out too?
At least, I have the great privilege to hear (amongst other things but not disturbing so) the birds’ chorus every morning. Either they sing their thanks for the food I put out for them, or because it rained and they have a worm bounty, or because the sun is shining and it’s a NEW DAY…. !
