  1. Just a reminder…we share the world with amazing and irreplaceable creatures and plants of all sizes and environments. The loss of this species is a tragedy on many levels. I am sad today.

… and we see a species in our world almost fade away!!
‘The two last remaining female northern white rhinos graze at a conservancy north of Nairobi. The only male northern white rhino in the world died in Kenya at the age of 45, leaving the fate of the subspecies in the hands of science’ … We are witness to this fact! So sad …

  3. This is a change to the camels…. (see, I’m wide awake)! Just a nugget of info: in German (and more importantly, in Swiss German😉), they are called Nashorn = Nosehorn…. fascinating fact, isn’t it? 😘
You will excuse my frivolity, it’s the beginning of spring, our 20th wedding anniversary AND we’re celebrating our frugal meal with sparkling wine out in our veranda…. this surely asks for a bit of whooping! 😎😀🤗

  4. Sorry, of course it’s a HUGE tragedy – there is no way around it. I read that too and it makes me very sad….. And to think that all this is MANMADE…. lost paradises! So (far too) many of them.

  5. Wha-a-a-at? It’s not Wednesday then? Caleb had to step back out of the spotlight to make room for this very sad news. It was only a matter of time and I think we haven’t seen the last of this kind of disaster. Very sad legacy for mankind. We are working hard to destroy the world. When will people wake up?!

  6. Only clicking ‘Like’ for the photo, not content. Because this is beyond sad. Humans truly do deserve their own extinction event. Ridiculous greed and interference with other species makes us the unsustainable ones. Sorry, but that’s just how I feel. Aloha, David.

  7. I knew about these three, but hadn’t heard the male died. Incredibly sad, I hope science can help before the last of them dies. We keep losing species, big and small…
