  3. Utterly fascinating, and beautiful. One minute the face of the moon, the next a glimpse of a slide beneath the lens of a microscope. And all so pristine, untouched, remote. I loved this pal, and the music, too. And a fitting post to go with news of the huge earthquake off the coast of Alaska. Such amazing forces at work, yet hidden from view….

      2. You are from BC? We called it ‘our second Switzerland’ – I could have easily lived there for the rest of my life….
        I hope that no harm will come to your home province.
        We had our total shock yesterday eve when our 100yard long stone wall (1920) broke up and fell on the steep slope onto the road underneath it. Damage of several ten thousands € and probably endless battling of who pays what – a closed road, visits from police, town house, legal ppl thereof….. and if we should be found ‘faulty’, our ruin. But hey, not yet, at least not today!

  8. It’s like YouTube knows me. From watching this it took me to the Montréal ice storm of 20 years ago.
    I was there and though it was the scariest thing I ever witnessed, it was so beautiful.
    Only one of 16 electric grids food not fail and had it failed the city of Montréal was going to be evacuated. I was living on the one functioning grid. Everyone came to my place to shower and cook.
