The love a parent feels for a child is strange…
It’s like trying to describe sand between your toes or snowflakes on your tongue to someone who’s lived their whole life in a dark room.
It sends the soul flying.

Beautiful words it really touched my heart, David. They were so true and the picture was awesome.

So me too, on both fronts. And worth panning through photographer’s Instagram site. Amazing.

Bam. There is no other love like this…my mom used to say ‘it’s the one hat you can never remove’…your quote is far better.

Oh, yes. I’ve heard it described as wearing your heart outside your body for the rest of your life. Loved this, David. So perfect. Have to check out the links.

And as a childless woman, I find it strange from the other side, too.

I think it’s like trying to describe love at all. I mean, parental love goes beyond the pale. But so does romantic love, in its own way. Such a complex emotion!

Oh, this is the Ove guy.
Parental love, and there is a certain something about the way kids love their parents. I should say sons and daughters, any age. I find that impossible to describe too.

Oh wow. Yes. And, as ever, well timed. Mine is starting high school in a few days and yeah, I am feeling nostalgic and wishing time would stall just a bit…
