      1. I do pretty well all things considered, but I’d be lyin’ if I said there wasn’t a creak or a twinge emanating from this 50-something body every now and then…. I just engage my selective hearing and move on down the road…. 🙂

  1. I worked for an Asian doctor once who would tell his patients, “Remember how old you are.” I thought this was very wise. People think they can stay 30 forever, keep a 30 year old body and brain. Accepting the changes clears away all this “aging” angst. If we need a cane, we use it instead of fighting against it. If we need hearing aids, we get them instead of making everyone around us shout. If we ache, we rest. Acceptance. And compassion for our aging selves. Even love. Because at this age, we’d better be able to do that, too.
