Jóhann Jóhannsson, 47, was born in Reykjavík, Iceland. He has been composing music for a wide array of media including theatre, dance, TV and films. His stately, slow-building and hauntingly melodic music, frequently combines electronics with classical orchestrations, has been quietly bewitching listeners since he released his first genre defining solo record Englabörn in 2002. nice and serene… I did know him as I’ve been to Iceland 3 times, and if I had another life, I would spend it over there, in the “Glaciers’ Land”… 🙂

Must. Have. This. I’ve given up on Pandora. Unless I pay for it, they stop my feed every 30 minutes now to make me prove I’m still listening. I don’t mind when I’m working on my art, but when an old cat is in my lap, I just can’t bring myself to shove him off every half hour. So, on to buying at iTunes (they STILL make me buy something, the bastards).
