  1. I’ve read that excerpt before but do not know from which Aldous Huxley work it stems. It always strikes me as poignant and haunting. As if it is a whisper to the child I once was trying to reach back to the days when in might have helped me fight against my confusion with the world. Thanks for the reminder.

Perhaps everything that frightens us is, in its deepest essence, something helpless that wants our love.” Go, it seemed to say. Fling yourself at the unknown.
