We need to trust this: in the midst of our daily life activities, the possibility to slow down, to stop, and then to appreciate naturally unfolds. For a fleeting moment we pause and note the sunlight on the sheets as we make the bed, note the warm sun on our cup as we sip tea, or note the fading light on the curtain as we enter the room. And we let out a breath or sigh…

Yesterday walking back home from a birthday party with my daughter she said, “Mama I love how you take your time. You stop and you enjoy everything and everyone.”
Little does she know, some lessons we learn at an early age because of what we have been through. I was so happy to see her observing. Hopefully learning at a young age, she’s only 12.
Dad, when we rush around him would say, “sit properly and drink your tea. Don’t sit with half your a$$ off the chair. Look out the window, stop talking, so you can see the face of God…”

She said THAT to Dad? Laughing! So much wisdom.

No! Two separate stories.
My dad says that to me and my siblings all the time.

One of my favorite unexpected treats is when I take the dogs out late at night or early in the morning and glance up to be greeted by a glittering blanket of stars that takes my breath away. As Sawsan says, it’s there to see if ya just slow down….

it does – if we are not in such a hurry that we fail to notice –

As I read this post, I thought, “But what if the street WAS one’s bed?” and realized that what ESL said could still be true even the.

Thanks Debi. Yes, Sawsan makes the comment section of my blog more interesting than my shares. I’m grateful.
