  1. This is so sad, especially as this has been going for years. It is a crisis all over the globe. Thank you David for brining it to our attention and to you Helen for the link to the harsh reality.
    Numbers can never show the impact on our fellow human beings. When we touch it directly, it opens our eyes and hearts to others who are just like us. 🙏

  2. Ugh…such a punch in the gut. So much of this. It feels endless. Here, too, in our own land, the heartbreak. We do what we are called to do – help out in our local food pantries, write checks, make sandwich after sandwich after sandwich, which is what our Unitarian Universalist group has been doing for many years. At some level, I just cannot understand.

    we should never, just close our eyes. I know no one ‘wants’ to see this. its brutal. its messy. it is despair at the deepest level. But we can each do one small thing to help, someone, somewhere.
